There are countless options for investing your money. It's a never ending puzzle and can be overwhelming. That's where I'm working to provide some insight. I'll walk you through several investment opportunities and cover account creation, funding options, minimums required, and the risks I encounter as I invest across multiple platforms.

In the time it takes you to read a post, you'll get a feel for the investment and how it might work for you. I don't make recommendations or pitch anything. I'm simply an impartial dispenser of information.


Alternative Investments

Alternative investments are part of the growing trend of investing outside the mainstream. That mutual fund is cool, but these have something a little different. These include peer to peer debt, business lending, private equity and more. They're unique and something you can discuss at your next party without sounding nerdy - well, not too nerdy.

Investing in Real Estate

Just as with equities, owning and managing real estate has been around for centuries. It's a proven method for earning income and growing equity. It requires a significant upfront investment and, as we saw in the mid-2000s, it can be risky. Again, I'm not highlighting specific investments as much as platforms that enable investments.

Traditional Investments

There's nothing wrong with the well established practice of investing in stocks and bonds. It can be exciting, risky and rewarding. But, it can also be routine and mundane. I leave the stock picking to others. Here I look at platforms - think Schwab, TD Ameritrade, Robinhood, etc.
